You know how there are certain days when you catch a whiff of something that just smells like summer? You can’t explain exactly what it is, but when it happens, you suddenly find yourself very excited for warmer weather and wearing your favorite sundress.

I caught it the other day, and it inspired me to check out some fitness classes at the gym and sign up for that yoga class I have been checking out. Maybe this will be the summer when I finally motivate myself to work toward my fitness goals and make healthy food decisions (most of the time). Hey, anything's possible.

We figured you might be having similar thoughts. So we decided to find out exactly what our It-girl fitspirations are doing to stay in such great shape.

Ever wondered how Chanel Iman gets her strong and toned stomach? Or how Rosie Huntington-Whiteley stays so fit? Look below for 22 workouts real top models love!

Gigi Hadid

Gigi channels Rocky in her activity of choice, which she does in hour-long sessions with trainer Rob Piela. Gigi says what she loves about boxing is that “you get so into it mentally that you forget you’re working out, so by the end of the hour, you always want more.”

Boxing blends calorie-burning cardio and arm-sculpting strength training, not to mention getting to beat someone up for an hour is fun, and may even reduce stress. Other models like Kendall Jenner and Gisele Bündchen also swear by it.

Karlie Kloss

Kloss is all about Pilates, a model mainstay for its ability to strengthen your core and sculpt your midsection. Model Lindsay Ellingson is also a Pilates fan. She has a great 10-minute workout you can try by following these step-by-step instructions.

“It really is such a release for me mentally,” Kloss told Self on her dedication to staying active. “That’s why I’m so passionate about health and fitness.”

Hunter McGrady

If you have a hard time pushing yourself to clock 30 minutes on a treadmill, we recommend trying a fun and active class like Hunter McGrady's go-to: Soul Cycle. It's one of those hate-it-but-love-it kinda workouts that we can't stop signing up for.

"I think it’s vital that we take care of ourselves, not just physically but mentally," McGrady writes on Instagram. "Pushing ourselves past what we think we can do. One of the reasons I love Soul Cycle because I get both checked off the list."

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

Rosie swears by L.A. trainer Simone De La Rue, whose exercise program, Body by Simone, involves full-body, high-intensity dance cardio. To get in on the action, check out De La Rue’s book, Body by Simone: The 8-Week Total Body Makeover Plan ($14).

"I love it because it’s a very female positive environment, you’re dancing and the music is blasting and all the instructors are training alongside you," the model told British Vogue. "It’s fun. And I see results very quickly."

Chanel Iman

Sometimes you just have to suck it up and hit the gym. Chanel Iman owes her toned midsection to core strengthening exercises like pull-up-bar leg raises. She also has said she makes a point to work her lower body with plenty of squats. As for cardio, you can put Iman on the long list of celebrities that love Soul Cycle spin class.

Ashley Graham

If you're hitting a workout rut, take note from one Ashley Graham. Bringing a partner along for a killer workout gives you less room to procrastinate or skip your routine workout.

"I love working out and I love being active. I'm always at the gym. I probably go to the gym like five days a week," she said, revealing that kickboxing is one of her go-to exercises.

Jasmine Tookes

Model Jasmine Tookes shares her favorite “leg day” routine at the gym. “On a muscle day, I usually do 3-4 moves on that muscle then add in abs or a butt routine,” she writes on Instagram. “Do each move for 4 rounds of 12 reps.”

She says she does Bulgarian squats,  Sumo squats and deadlifts, and repeats three times. “Your legs will feel dead after, but also feels so great and strong!! I’m holding a 15lb weight. Let’s go!”

Emily DiDonato

Model Emily DiDonato admits these single-leg deadlifts on a Bosu ball aren’t fun, but they’re her secret to toned stems. She also shared that she loves to interval workouts to mix things up.

"My favorite thing to do is to put on an interval timer YouTube video and do a different exercise every 60 seconds until I hit 20 minutes," she says. "Sometimes I end up going from jumping squats, to jumping lunges, to dancing for 60 seconds—whatever gets my heart rate up!"

Heather Marks

Doing outdoor yoga with a buddy is always superior to indoor yoga alone. Especially when your fitness partner is as creative as Marks’s is. Now that is a masterful pose.

In addition to yoga, Marks says she also loves taking kickboxing classes at the gym. “Kickboxing is my favorite workout, and I do a lot of resistance training—I use a lot of elastics in the gym!” she told Elle Canada.

Jada Sezer

Wilhelmina model Jada Sezer knows the importance of being active. Her workout of choice: Running. She's even got a 10K race under her belt.

"I do one long run and one short run a week as well as yoga," she told Cosmopolitan. "I love yoga and that’s mainly for my sanity because it gets me so chilled and calm. It's also good for toning your stomach and giving you that core strength. Runnings definitely given me a butt lift and yoga has toned everything for me all over. I don’t ever do any specific workouts on specific areas, I think a lot of it comes down to genetics."

Izabel Goulart

Model Izabel Goulart is a total exercise fanatic, which comes as no surprise, considering her 12-pack. You can catch her doing all kinds of cool workouts on Instagram, including impromptu poolside yoga moves.

In addition to yoga, the model’s exercise routine also consists of kickboxing, running, strength training and Pilates. Her well-rounded routine has certainly paid off!

Miranda Kerr

When we think “model body,” we think toned and long, and these are exactly the results one gets from ballet. Lily Aldridge, Lindsay Ellingson, Erin Heatherton, and Gigi Hadid all train in ballet with Mary Helen Bowers of Ballet Beautiful. You can steal these models’ exact moves with this step-by-step guide.

Adriana Lima

Lima started boxing long before it was trendy (14 years ago, to be exact), and it’s still her favorite workout. She finds boxing “very empowering” because it allows you to explore your own strength and power.

“It’s the best exercise that exists because you can get really ripped but not too big,” she says.

Kate Upton

Model Kate Upton showed off her aerial yoga skills in this upside-down Instagram photo. Ashley Graham is also a fan of this workout, which is great for core strengthening and flexibility.

In addition to aerial yoga, her trainer said that Upton also stays strong with circuit training, consisting of resistance bands, stability balls and boxing.

Zuri Tibby

Some models may have a fast metabolism by nature, but strong and sculpted bodies are created in the gym. Zuri Tibby attends barre class that incorporates ballet moves to increase strength and muscle definition.

Cindy Bruna

Whoever said lifting weights made women bulky is 100 percent false. Runway pro, Cindy Bruna incorporates strength training and core workouts into her fitness routine for long, lean muscles.

"I have never felt so strong and comfortable with my body as I do now," she says.

Winnie Harlow

Winnie Harlow credits strength training and Pilates for her toned physique. “I hate cardio and I have to do a lot of it currently but I really don’t like it, I prefer weight training. Pilates is a lot of fun too, as I love to stretch,” she said in an interview. The Canadian model, who developed the skin condition vitiligo when she was four-years old, said she also likes to mix up her fitness routine. “In London, I have a lot of different trainers, but my go-to gym is Third Space. I also have a gym in my condo in Canada, so I work out a lot there too.”

Ming Xi

Model Ming Xi undoubtedly stays fit yearound, however she really bumps up her exercise before a big fashion show. She revealed she likes to focus on strengthening her core. "Planks, burpees, and sit-ups. Because you really need to work out your abs before the show, and you don’t have a choice. You just get used to that, and then after all this pain, you’re like, 'oh my god, I feel good.'"

Christie Brinkley

Supermodel Christie Brinkley seems to be aging in reverse— and she credits the Total Gym with helping her stay fit. Brinkley, who has been a long time spokesperson for the brand, says she uses it for 15 minutes a day. “It’s been my choice for over 20 years,” she writes on Instagram. “Just a few minutes a day of eccentric and concentric moves that strengthen, stretch, and tone.”  She also likes to exercise outside, by activities such as running on the beach or going surfing.

Candice Huffine

Model Candice Huffine’s workouts consist of running (she recently ran the Boston Marathon!) and spinning at the gym. “I like a hard sweaty workout and a good cycling class. Bringing a friend helps. I have two who I grab on Sunday mornings, and we [alternate] between Flywheel and SoulCycle.”

Naomi Campbell

Naomi Campbell is another supermodel who, like Christie Brinkley, is also aging in reverse.  She shares many of her workouts on Instagram— and they are intense! She does HIIT workouts, along with boxing workouts and lunges using medicine balls. Campbell also incorporates yoga and Pilates into her routine. “I like working with the resistance of my own body weight,” she says.

Behati Prinsloo

The couple that planks together, stays together! Model Behati Prinsloo keeps her bod healthy and runway-ready by working out with her husband, Maroon 5’s Adam Levine.

She recently revealed that she loves dance cardio. “Recently, I’ve been doing Body by Simone,” she said. “It’s not as dance-y as most dance-cardio classes. You do a little section of dance and then do a lot of floor legwork. It has band work for your arms and targets every area."
